Great Southeastern U.S. Camping Spots

If you live in the Southeastern US you’re likely already enjoying a lot that the outdoors has to offer. If you’re itching to camp this time of year get on your Get Wild Blue internet and find out more about these great drivable destinations…they’re worth the trip!
Wildcat Creek: If it’s solitude in the woods you’re looking for, look no further than this tiny hamlet in North Georgia. You’ll find yourself surrounded by cool mountain air, no other campers and a lot of natural silence. It’s a good thing.
Roan Mountain: This mountain straddles both TN and NC and it’s got one of the most impressive display of rhododendrons in the continental US. It makes for a great day hike to the top but there are plenty of places to car camp at the base as well.
Caesar’s Head: South Carolina hosts this wonderland of natural spaces that make for great pack camping as well as exploring. Kayak through the marsh or head out for a long hike – the weather gets muggy here so bring plenty of bug spray and some ice.
